Troi Donnelly : uht-er nonsense

Sat. June 18th 2011 - Sat. June 25th 2011
Opening Saturday, June 18th, 7 pm

uht-er nonsense is an on-going exploration using the nonsense sound/word, jee; one of a set of nonsensical, inarticulate utterances meant to convey a sense of bewilderment. Scale, gravity and paper, paper being a versatile material with associations of fragility and impermanence, as well as, persistence and infinite possibilities, contribute to the exaggerated transition of an object from one state to another. The stacked, paper sound/word, jee, expressed as an absurd novelty item, is intended to elicit desire while questioning notions of value around identity and sustainability.
