Jillan Valpy : Sky Magnitude

Sun. October 23rd 2011 - Thu. October 27th 2011
Closing Reception - Thursday October 27th - 7pm to 10pm

Jillan Valpys latest incarnation of “Sky Magnitude” plays with the idea of the endless depth one sees when they simply look up. These rubber painting/sculptures challenge the traditional forms, and incorporate kinetic movement of wind and gravity.

Sky Magnitude is an endless expanding rubber consciousness. Neither sculpture nor painting or both, with each reincarnation this mono chromatic blue rubber increases in scope and depth. Never static, the movement of Sky raptures the imagination of space as if looking out at clouds.
