Leah Craig The Power of the Feminine

"The Power of the Feminine" was created by drawing energy and strength from within, being in touch with spirituality, and being inspired by the natural world and its inhabitants. By tapping into the minds eye, I have created these images of extreme color, to brighten even the darkest of days. The paintings in this series are acrylic on canvas and created over the last 4 years.

My Name is Leah Marie Craig, I am a local Victoria artist, born and raised. I have been drawing and painting for most of my life. I started painting after I had my Daughter, when she would go to bed in the evenings, I would sit at the kitchen table and paint for hours each night, it became a favorite hobby of mine and still is 12 years later.
I truly enjoy being creative and using my imagination whenever I can get the chance. I like to work with many different mediums, such as acrylic paint, watercolour, ink and charcoal, paint pens, sculpting jewelry with polymer clay, as well as making jewelry with images of my art carefully placed behind glass cabs and set in sterling silver, brass, or gold.
