ᯓ★ Ministry of Casual Living Call for Artists! Send us your proposals for our upcoming gallery programming
The Ministry of Casual Living (MoCL) is excited to announce an open call for art proposals for our Winter/Spring 2025 programming! We invite artists of all mediums and backgrounds to submit proposals to show your work in our gallery space. What do you want to present in the gallery?
This call is open to all artists of all experience and explorations. We encourage submissions from individuals of diverse backgrounds and practices. If you make stuff and want to present it in an art gallery space, let us know.
Exhibitions selected for programming run on average for 3- weeks and receive promotion and installation support, as well as an artist-fee to acknowledge our presentation of your work.
ᯓ★ How to Apply: Please send your proposal to [email protected] with the following:
⟡ A project description, including concept, medium, and any specific requirements. Tell us about your project, what you want to present and how to want to present it
⟡ Documentation of your work or proposal. Send us some images/representation/links of your current work or project proposal to give us an idea of what you make and are proposing to present/exhibit
⟡ Any additional logistical details. Let us know if there is anything else important for us to know or take into consideration with your project and/or proposal.
ᯓ★ Deadline: Please submit your proposal package by January 7th, 2025. We will aim to inform folks invited to exhibit in the Winter/Spring season by the end of January.
ᯓ★ Selection Process: Proposals will be reviewed by the Ministry of Casual Living team, and artists invited to exhibit will be contacted for further discussion and scheduling.
ᯓ★ Gallery measurements:
South wall: 13.83 ft.
West wall: 17.79 ft.
East wall (separated in two by thin metal beam): 3.75 ft., 14.8 ft.
North wall: 2ft of usable wall space
North wall ledge: 52” long x 10” wide
Window (excluding blinds): 36”x77”
Gallery + building are wheelchair accessible.
