CURATOR BIOS:
Jameel Mulani & Emma Holland are interdisciplinary artists collaboratively focused upon experimental photography, self-publishing, and film. Their approach comes from a foundation in architectural studies, and an interest in the spatial nature of media as environments. Explorations into video include installations and interventions, along with experimental films and music videos.
Their zines and artist books have been exhibited at Zines of the World, Doomed Gallery, London, UK; and Photoblock, as part of the East London photography festival, Photomonth. Their self-published books have appeared at independent book fairs in Canada, U.S., and UK, and are disseminated by Art Metropole, Toronto, Printed Matter, NY, and The Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, UK. Emma Holland and Jameel Mulani currently live and work on Vancouver Island, Canada. http://newgeometrics.com
