Remnants: An Art-Exchange Exhibition

Thu. January 15th 2026 - Sat. February 28th 2026
@  The Ministry of Casual Living Free (All Ages)
Thursdays: 5-8PM Saturdays: 1-4PM
January & February 2026, The Ministry of Casual Living presents: Remnants. An open-to-everyone art show where artists bring an overlooked or unfinished piece from their own creative life — a dusty sketch, a pile of shells, a half-done craft — and install it in the gallery. Once placed, artists choose another participant’s remnant to take home.
The show is an ever-evolving creative exchange: letting go of a piece that has been tucked away, and welcoming someone else’s work into your hands. It gives value and visibility to art that might otherwise go unseen, transforming forgotten fragments into shared treasures through a simple, meaningful act of gifting and appreciation.

Based on popular demand, MoCL will be hosting a Remnants Show & Tell on January 31st and we will be extending the Remnants exhibition into February!

Remnants Show-&-Tell: January 31st, 1-4PM: We invite you to bring your collaborative remnants back to MoCL on Saturday, January 31st for a show & Tell with other participating Remnants artists!
Have you finished someone’s drawing? Used someone’s remnant in your knitting project? We want to see it! And after show & tell, you have the option to re-install your remnant in our gallery! A remnant-ception of sorts.

We look forward to seeing you there!
